The 7th Dawn

Time Out says

A very pale shadow of The Ugly American, attempting to sort out tangled loyalties during the terrorist troubles in Malaya but only succeeding in reducing them to a mess of pottage. Clichés blossom in the wilderness and love, of course, becomes a many-splendoured thing as the cardboard characters react to assorted atrocities and slog through endless jungle, with poor Holden as the planter trying to sort out his politics while getting into sentimental difficulties between an Eurasian (Capucine) and an English rose (York).
