Time Out says

Revolutionary politics in a fictitious South American state seen through the eyes of Harold Robbins. Or in other words, the usual mixture of sex, fast cars and drugs with a few 'Eh gringos' and 'Viva la Revoluciones' thrown in for good measure. A really bad movie made even worse by the appearance of 'actor extraordinaire' Rossano Brazzi in a cameo role.

Do not agree with the "bad" critics of this underrated movie. I still remember scenes nearly 40 years on, eg the boy's dog being suddenly shot. Good soundtrack too.
