Time Out says

Very creditable swashbucklery with Wilde, a fencer of Olympic standard, looking much more at home as Robin Hood Junior than as Frederic ('You must stop this polonaise jangle') Chopin in A Song to Remember. If the dialogue is imbecilic, the villainy is splendid and Tony Gaudio's Technicolor camerawork very lush.
