The Last Valley

Time Out saysTurgid epic set in the 23rd year of the Thirty Years War (that's 1641, to save you looking it up) in which Cockney Caine leads his troops into a fertile valley which, just for once, they decide not to pillage. Reason? Caine has met refugee philosopher Omar Sharif and they've reached a mutual understanding. Clear-as-mud plotting and Tower of Babel accents don't help the allegory to make its point. A solid snore.
