The Yellow Smile
Time Out saysPassions flair among the Turkish glitterati when art gallery owner Eda (Tekland), frustrated by her poet husband's alcohol-induced impotence, wanders from the straight and narrow and gets involved with artist friend Erdal (Gunsiray). The film adds little to the myriad other variations on the eternal triangle, but leading lady Tekland goes through the motions with a modicum of physical commitment. Be prepared for the odd splash of unintentional hilarity in this would-be sophisticated milieu (earnest discussions of Leonard Cohen's poetry and music rub shoulders with some of the most embarrassing disco scenes since Basic Instinct).
