Time Out says
Dated British comedy poking fun at Wooden Horse and Colditz-style PoW movies. Bellowing beard James Robertson Justice, always good value, plays a distinguished radar scientist who takes very badly to life in a Nazi camp. When his fellow prisoners realise he's vital to Britain's war efforts, they reluctantly agree to help him escape. All sorts of radio and TV comedians pop up in the supporting cast, but if some of the jokes fall a little flat, it's hardly a surprise - Norman Wisdom's regular screenwriter, Jack Davies, helped provide the script.Author: GM
