Time Out says

A 'thriller' which purports to examine the psychology of the banal 'blend-into-the-crowd' type that supposedly characterises the British serial killer. Leslie (Firth), a dentist transvestite and slayer of women-in-white, is, however, a signposted oddball: note his string singlets and see-through polyester shirts. He answers an ad placed by American crime writer Ellen (Robinson) and takes a room in her north London house. Ellen's no angel herself. Leslie seems to have twigged that she has, in fact, murdered her missing husband and presumes a bond of complicity between them - but the net is closing. This plays like a kitchen-sink horror movie, much of the action confined to the semi, all cramped camera angles and ill-lit close-ups, and more sofa fabric than a furniture ad. Hard to take seriously.
