Spartacus Chetwynd

We take a surreal trip into the dressing up box of the British Artist in advance of the Frieze Art Fair

‘Seal, seal, dress, dress, dress, fire.’ Spartacus Chetwynd is doing a quick costume check before she and her accompanying gang of five get into their gear for our Time Out art issue cover shoot. Also in Chetwynd’s dressing-up bag are multicoloured face paints, gold leaf, long lengths of wig hair, a latex frog, a large pink salamander and two big beanbags; when tied on with tape these last two items give the surreal seal characters their big bellies. All of these are put on in an atmosphere of fun that feels more like getting ready for a fancy-dress party than preparing for a performance at London’s biggest annual art event.

Does anyone know what time Spartacus Chetwynd will be performing? Am planning on going tomorrow and would really like to see her performance. She sounds so cool and wacky!
