Previous Gay Shame events have parodied the consumerism of Mardi Gras and the Euro-fetishism of Euro Pride. Last year's event was a 'comic condemnation of masculinity', complete with a banned sign featuring two men fucking. Presented by Duckie, this year is a celebration of effeminacy and features over fifty artists, over thirty five sideshows and over three thousand patrons. With Lois Weaver, Tom McLeod, Scottee, Lucille Power, Sheila Ghelani, Miss High Leg Kick and a host of girly performers. Hosted by Amy Lamé and designed by Robin Whitmore, with DJs The Readers Wifes and Jay Cloth on the door. Dress: radical femmes, first ladies, fairies, dandies, birds, brides, spinsters, etc.
