Here's the history they didn't teach you at school. In fact, LGBT History Month grew out of the School's Out campaign to raise awareness of LGBT issues in education. Since then it has grown into a month of events across various London boroughs and further afield.

With a recent Stonewall report showing that anti-gay bullying is endemic in our schools, there's never been a better time to raise awareness of the enormous contribution LGBT people have made to culture and society.
