Arosfa
Arosfa means ‘place to stay’ in Welsh. And, until recently, that about summed this place up: a bed, a roof over your head, and there’s your money. But, in these sophisticated times, spartan doesn’t cut it anymore: in 2003 this townhouse hotel was extensively refurbished. The rooms have been given paint jobs, new furniture and carpets, and, most importantly, bathrooms (admittedly, they’re the size of airplane lavatories). It’s always had a great location - in the heart of Bloomsbury, opposite a huge Waterstone’s - and a pleasing walled garden. At press time, the hotel was up for sale. Let’s hope the new owners don’t change its best asset: the prices.
Services
No-smoking throughout. TV.

Stayed there summer of 2006, bathrooms might be a problem for "larger " persons, we are 6 ft and 5 10, and bathrooms work great. Owner was brusque but cooperative with lost keys and late arrival at Heathrow. Find out now is about the geographic centre of MacEwan's "Saturday". Nice walk to Covent Gardens. Ikkyu nearby is great restaurant!
