B&B Belgravia
Opened in 2004, this is one of the most attractive B&Bs we’ve seen. The black and white lounge (leather sofa, arty felt cushions, modern fireplace) could be straight out of Elle Decoration. But it’s not precious: you’ll find a laptop equipped with free internet connection and above it games and stuffed toys to keep the kids entertained, plus a collection of DVDs to watch on the flatscreen TV. There’s also a high-tech espresso machine, and guests can take their drinks out to tables in the large back garden. The bedrooms are chic, with dove grey walls and contemporary panelled headboards, and come with flatscreen TVs. They’ve had fun with the sleek bathrooms – one has the basin on the windowsill, another has a large window on to the street (with a sliding frosted glass panel for the modest).
