Mayflower Hotel
At the forefront of the budget-hotel style revolution, the Mayflower Hotel has given Earl’s Court – once a far from glamorous B&B wasteland – a kick up the backside. Following a spectacular makeover a few years back, the Mayflower proves cheap really can be chic. The minimalist lobby is dominated by a gorgeous teak arch that came all the way from Jaipur; there’s a fashionably battered leather sofa and even a couple of caged love birds in the café-cum-lounge. The wooden-floored rooms are furnished in an Eastern style with hand-carved beds and sumptuous fabrics or sleek modern headboards and units, with architectural fragments or contemporary paintings to match. In some rooms, ceiling fans add a tropical feel, which extends to the palm trees in the garden. At such low rates, marble bathrooms, CD players, room safes and wireless internet are hitherto unheard-of luxuries.

The above review may be true of the hotel but the apartments are REALLY awful. Rude staff filthy dirty not as advertised not in the building advertised facilities advertised not there plus I was CHARGED TWICE ON MY CARD 2 days after i checked out when i queried it i was told this was damaged & that was missing needless to say neither the damage nor the missing item were anything to do with me!!! I ended up paying DOUBLE the agreed room rate for a shabby chic apartment with NO CHIC & SHABBY IN EVERYWAY! This is obviously my opinion of my experience but hopefully anyone reading this will check it out PROPERLY before booking!!!!
