A day of music aimed at children and young people. At noon, the London Philharmonic Orchestra plays selections of its favourite pieces – including Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf. The day begins at 10am, when children will be able to have a go on orchestral instrument of their choice under expert instruction, take part in an interactive introduction to the concert, join in music-making workshops and explore the site with an activity sheet. After the concert, the music continues in the Clore Ballroom, where a guest ensemble of young musicians entertain with a selection of great tunes.
