An annual festival of music, comedy, performance, interaction and theatre, with appearances by children's writers and entertainers including David Walliams, Anthony Horowitz, James Patterson, Simon Mayo, Cathy Cassidy and Judith Kerr. For the first time in the festival's history children will be programming some of the events: in the Festival Ideas Cloud, a panel of 7-11-year-olds will host a series of debates on issues that affect them, including education (Feb 14), housing (Feb 13), and class (Feb 13) issues, and why people invent weapons (Feb 11). Trails, games and activities for all ages take place daily, including a giant bookswap (Feb 16) and family workshops (Feb 17). See the website for full details.
