Punch and Judy shows performed all day in the North Hall by members of the Punch and Judy Fellowship. The festival is designed to increase our appreciation of England's archetypal bad boy and his longsuffering family and the setting is particularly apt because it was near St Paul's Church in Covent Garden that the diarist Samuel Pepys recorded his first sighting of the puppet show, in 1662.
