Puppets and handlers (including celebrated puppetmaster Ronnie le Drew), share the limelight in this no-strings story of a most bizarre small-enterprise scheme. Tim Kane's script slightly tweaks Roald Dahl's tale of the Ladderless Window Cleaning Company, run by a giraffe, a pelican and a monkey, to fit the space – and the capabilities of director Peter O'Rourke's puppet cast – and there's a smattering of jokes, contemporary references and composer/lyricist Ben Glasstone's witty ditties to buff up a riotous show. The merry inclusiveness of the production (children in the front row can stretch out to touch Giraffe's nose), with its dance routines and singalong scenes encourages audience participation and a pantomime mood. Age 3+. Extended to Feb 8.
