This festival lasts nearly a week and takes place at different venues around town. It is designed to give young people opportunities they might not otherwise have had, and to tackle the negative stereotypes to which teens are subjected, especially in the wake of the recent run of gun and knife crimes. Events are launched in Trafalgar Square this Saturday, with young artists performing music, dance and poetry, plus fashion shows, live drawing and T-shirt workshops (1-6pm). Other highlights include dance show 'Footprintz' at the Hackney Empire, 'Watch This Space' workshops at Stratford Circus, shows at Jongleurs and projects at the Rich Mix centre and the National Gallery.
