Some people are evangelically anti colouring-in. They say it stifles creativity, but they’re nuts – colouring-in is so relaxing, way better than yoga. But watch out if the kids want to join in; they’re inclined to go over the edges, which means it’s all spoilt. Seriously, you can have a very good chat with a child while you’re both absorbed in a bit of mindless colouring. And with ‘Johnny Joe’s Time Travel’ and other titles in the series, there’s scope for drawing, so it can be creative too. Now, pass me the green… please.
