Falguni Fruitseller is startled by a croc in the village, and soon trying to oust the roving reptile, aided by expressive typography and inky illustrations. It takes little Meena to show the villagers the croc has been displaced by floods, and all it needs is some gentle coaxing back to the river. Indian poet Anushka Ravishankar and illustrator Pulak Biswas’ ‘Catch that Crocodile!’ is a sparse, rhythmic tale, ideal for reading aloud to ages 4-7.
