A sideways look at the way in which Japan's spirit influences its car design from two industry outsiders – Kenya Hara, the man responsible for much of the success of Muji, and Shigeru Ban, the Japanese architect currently designing a new satellite gallery in Metz for Paris's Pompidou Centre.
