This exhibition features more than 80 examples of seating made for children during the past 400 years. Taking 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' as its starting point, the show invites visitors to consider just what makes a successful seat - comfort, style, ease of use? - by looking at a range of seating that includes school chairs, armchairs, saddles, swings, highchairs and potties. Notable designers featured include Charles Eames, Vitra and El Ultimo Grito. Among the more unusual items on display is 'Spotty', a 1960s paper chair designed by Peter Murdoch. Other ideas explored include the growing popularity of designer seating specifically for children and the ways in which styles have changed over the centuries.
