During December the house is open at the weekend, the entrance hall and eating room decorated in the eighteenth-century style, with costumed interpreters on hand to explain the social etiquette of the day. Below stairs in the kitchens, the period recreated is WWII, complete with rationing recipes to take away. Other seasonal offerings include a Christmas craft fair, children's art activities and carols in the stableyard on Sundays.
