An exhibition of around 36 works, featuring figures in the Armed Services, the Auxiliary Services and from London Transport, as well as notable civilians, by Eric Kennington, one of only a handful of official British war artists during both WWI and WWII. Kennington's portraits were widely hailed both as works of art and as morale-boosters. This exhibition, the first to focus specifically on his WWII Art, seeks to reassess Kennington's contribution to British war art and to acknowledge his standing as a portraitist in the twentieth century.
