The Shakespeare Olympics begin April 22 at the Globe
An exhibition about the range of jobs done by women over the past 150 years, from forging iron chains to assembling fine electrical components. The show highlights the fact that, while most women have always worked, in paid jobs or in the home, their work has been unrecognised and undervalued, and details the campaigns for equal pay and fair working conditions led by pioneering activists and supported by trade unions. On display are documents, images, films and artefacts from London Metropolitan University's Special Collections, The Women's Library and TUC Library Collections.
