The impact of music, art and personality on the development of fashion in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s is the subject of this exhibition, which traces the wave of youth culture from America to Britain and around the world and its influence on commerce, culture and style. From poodle skirts and the embellished leathers of rockers through to the Punk era, via the kitsch glamour of psychedelia, the show offers an insight into two decades of popular culture. Highlights include items from Elton John's wardrobe, flares worn by Donovan, clothing by Mary Quant, Vivenne Westwood and others, along with posters and graphics from the period.
