Medieval-style horror museum, with gory waxwork displays of plagues, tortures, executions and other grisly reminders of the not so distant past. Features include an unpleasant recreation of the infamous Jack the Ripper mystery, the 'Theatre of the Guillotine' exhibition based on European crime and punishment, and a ride during which visitors are sentenced to death. 'Executioner's Corner' is a display featuring a working Halifax Gibbet complete with victims and executioner, a hangman's corner and other gruesome implements of punishment. 'Traitor: Boat Ride to Hell' is a super-scary, hair-raising ride in near darkness, during which visitors can expect to be terrified by unexplained noises, sudden lurches, cobwebs and a rather-too-close encounter with the blade of an axe. 'Extremis: Drop Ride to Doom' is a vertiginous ride based on the Newgate Gaol public hangings. The 'Surgery: Blood and Guts' exhibit includes the chance for visitors to become the patients in the scary surgery chair.
