Animal skeletons, taxidermy specimens and creatures preserved in fluid lend the museum, which dates from 1828, the air of the house of an avid Victorian collector. The collection includes remains of many rare and extinct animals, such as the skeleton of a quagga (an extinct zebra) and a dodo.

Moved from New York to London a few weeks ago. Love it here and looking to meet up and make solid friends (maybe more) with down-to-earth people...

Although I did enjoy and found the exhibition interesting I felt to post a comment because I expected more interactive things for kids. Quite small and not for the faint hearted. I could tell the 6-year-old girl I took was a bit unnerved by animals in jars and the skeletons. Worth a trip though
