Kew's new 18m-high, 200m-long Xstrata Treetop Walkway © James Morley
Displays around the gardens show the role of trees in our lives, the main attractions being the new underground Rhizotron display revealing how roots work, and the 18m-high, 200m-long Xstrata Treetop Walkway, which allows visitors to wander through Kew's canopy of trees and see the gardens from a new perspective.

Having lived in several countries in Europe and overseas and being a great traveller I think I can (and actually want to) share many life...

Went to Kew last week and really enjoyed it. It is huge and there is more than enough to keep everyone amused all day.
While £13 may seem high as long as you plan ahead and make a day of it then it's actually very good value when you consider that a couple of hours round a Tate exhibition costs the same amount.
Also all under 17's get in for free which is refreshing.
it's 13, not 17.. it's 120 acres of gardens..
too expensive!
is like a zoo, it costs £17 quid to get in
I used to work at Kew- they organise all their own festivals as a way of getting people through the door. The money spent on entrance fees goes to conservation projects they operate all over the world saving habitats etc.
Is Kew really in Surrey? huh...can't believe I didn't know that.
P.S Is bloody typical that it doesnt say entry fee
what, 13 quids to get in? I'd rather than spent it on a gig....
I'm not surprised it doesn't display the entry fee.
13 pounds to get in, how crap is that. Should be free.
I wanna come - you paying?
This looks yum, I'm going to go there this weekend? Who want to come?
