Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

One of Victorian Britain’s most celebrated painters had a deep love for the art of Japan. This show of Brangwyn’s collection of Japanese art and work with Japanese artists, shows a time that was creatively fertile, filled with shimmering, shadowy vistas and perfect Eastern compositions. The work of Yoshijiro Urushibara in particular sheds a gorgeous rare light on Europe. More than worth the trip to Walthamstow, and essential if you're local.
