New York Transit Authority may have a misleading moniker – he's actually from Bristol – but we'll forgive him as he does a mean line in dubstep (usually under his Mensah alias) and 808 bass, so a headline set from him should be a blinder. Brunks, Naked...

Scout Niblett

Alternative rock, Singer-songwriter

  • can someone please tell me since when did Corsica Studios become one of londons big clubs? it is the 2nd biggest shit hole i have ever been to in my life, only 2nd next to Casino rooms in Rochester. I appricate a dark and dingy club as much as the next techno raver but this take the piss. The only decent thing this club has going for it is its excellent sound system, but even that wasnt enough to make me stay in there. real waste of a funkton 1.

  • Corsica Studios is arguably one of London town's great (and unsung) venues. The fact that it is slightly off the radar is probably a benefit, as without wanting to sound like a snob, unlike it's famous neighbour up the road (MoS) it attracts a more discerning, partisan crowd. I've been to a couple of D&B nights and a couple of techno nights, all very good. My only criticism would be the last techno night I went to a few weeks back, which was a multi collaboration of various promotions, which meant the venue made use of a neighbouring building to accommodate. This space was by far the most popular, which meant queueing for entry, and once inside was the hottest place I've ever been! Don't let this put you off though, I think that was a rarity. Come and sample the much heralded, but hard to find essence of London's underground dance music scene, you will not be disappointed. One last point. Whoever in the management of this venue is responsible for the sound system spec, which cannot have been cheap (full fat, full price) deserves a medal. It's the one thing that medium / small venues tend to shirk on. Not at Corsica; This is one of the best (if not the best) sound systems in London. Tony Andrews would be proud of what He's done to the elephant
