Bush Hall Presents

The small (capacity around 350) but beautifully formed Bush Hall has a fantastic chequered history, having been one of three venues built by publisher WC Humdall around 1904 as gifts for his three daughters, surviving not only various incarnations as a music/dance hall in the roaring '20s, soup kitchen, bingo hall, music rehearsal space and snooker club, but also bombardment during The Blitz. The exterior is unprepossessing, but inside the restored Edwardian plaster work impresses, as do the two-tier Austrian lead crystal chandeliers. The music programme covers folk, blues, country, Americana and alt.rock artists, both local and overseas.

The most intimate venue in London showcasing some leading global stars - just magical!

Ellen S

Amazing intimate venue, showcasing great musical acts, old new, from across the UK and worldwide. It's like having Later with Joolz on your doorstep. Brilliant!

Ellen O

Fantastic venue for seeing a really diverse selection of acts from comedy to indie, folk to hip hop, rock to country and western. Great food next door too. You only have to look at the acts that have appeared there over the years to know this is one hell of a venue!

Emma R

Independent, massively eclectic, outstanding gigs, comedy, other events. MUST go to for all Londoners and international visitors.

Jason R

Perfect size, beautiful room, and staff who are really into music. Wonderful venue.

What a venue! I saw Dan and shay there last night and I was bowled away. It's really close to Shepherd's Bush Market and the Hammersmith and city line. The sound in the venue was acoustically great. I'll be back!

I saw Mutual Benefit play here last night. I have seen all their London shows and they are just magical. Bush Hall is a fantastic venue, an unexpected gem on Uxbridge Road which exudes glamour and opulence in equal measure. It's a must visit and always has some great gigs of upcoming artists.

Stucco ceilings, chandeliers and an eclectic array of gigs including Burlesque on Ice. I once saw Boy George perform in this intimate venue. Best gig ever.

A beautiful, intimate space, with room for around 150 people max. The sort of place you can see the whites of the performers' eyes, and a space that should be protected at all costs.

Eva B

Great range of terrific bands - and some, like Ibeyi, just before they become huge. Really friendly and easy but serious about music. Bush Dining Rooms next door great place to eat before a show.

Aside from presenting some of the best names in comedy and music, Bush Hall is worth a visit because it’s a genuinely stunning venue.

More like a grand ballroom than the ‘hall’ the name suggests, the chandeliers and ornate architecture are easy distractions from the talent on stage.

Don’t be put off by the carpet. Unlike Wetherspoons, having a seat on the floor won’t leave you with an incurable disease, and everything always feels clean and well cared for -  it’s completely acceptable to sit down while you wait for the show to begin.

Once it does, that’s when the magic starts, as the high ceiling and abundance of space make for impressive acoustics – in fact, it’s entirely normal to see an artist break out into an a capella version of their favourite song, just to hear their voice bouncing off the walls.

Also, they have a great beer selection, so get extra points for that!
