Time Out says

A night of world music from veteran charity War Child, in aid of the child victims of the Syrian conflict.

Abdelkader Saadoun Algerian Rai Band, The London Music Collective, Mr Sami Alhussami, Orient Flame, Jenni Hogan, Sarah Maxwell and Sofiane Bashall + more.

The veteran charity War Child has been leveraging music-world social influencers since way back when social influencers were known as 'musicians'. In this show at The Forge in aid of War Child, an array of favourites from the world music scene have come together in support of children caught up in the Syrian civil war – a worthy, and urgent, cause if ever there was one.

Heading the bill is Abdelkader Saadoun, maestro of Algerian rai music (which blends traditional Algerian styles with just about every other genre known to Google) and serial cosmopolitan collaborator. Among his many Camden cohorts for this show are The London Music Collective, Orient Flame and Mr Sami Alhussami.

If you’re into world music, it's all bases covered. And if you're not so into world but quite into saving human lives, at £20 a ticket (cash only on the door; £15 in advance) it's a righteous opportunity to expand musical horizons.
