Beautiful Thing at Arts Theatre - West End - Time Out London
Apr 13-May 25
Time Out says
A new production of Jonathan Harvey's landmark tale of love found between two young men on a rough inner-city estate, marking 20 years since it was first performed at the Bush theatre. Harvey went on to write regularly for 'Coronation Street'; that's how he came to know actress Suranne Jones - formerly Karen McDonald in the soap; more recently, the star of some other excellent TV series, including 'Scott & Bailey' and 'The Secret of Crickley Hall' - who here plays the mother of one of the boys. Nikolai Foster, an associate director of the West Yorkshire Playhouse, directs.
