'Silencio,' the acclaimed 2010 debut album by this rising Portuguese star, was the first fado record made in the UK for over half a century. Aurora didn't discover the folk-blues torch songs of her homeland until she moved to Bristol in the early noughties, though – as a teenager growing up outside Porto, she was all about Led Zep and Springsteen.
