LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL: Ken Vandermark/Barry Guy/Mark Sanders + Dave Kane/Alex Bonney

A leading figure in Chicago's vibrant, esoteric and rock-edged contemporary jazz scene, multi-reedist Vandermark worked with the likes of Peter Brotzmann, the NRG Ensemble and Steam. Here he pits his improv wits against leading Euro jazz bass virtuoso Guy and whirling polyrhythmic drummer Sanders for some no-holds-barred free playing. Uncompromising UK bassist Kane and trumpeter Bonney set the tone with an energetic free improv support slot.
