Indian-American saxophonist Mahanthappa is at the forefront of an explosion in highly original Indian jazzers making waves on the international jazz scene. With a rich, expressive tone and incredibly rhythmic flexibilty, Mahanthappa is pushing modern improv into new, post-bop territory. Support from Manchester-based clarinetist Ghosh who effortlessly mixes his South Asian heritage with some big 'baggy' beats.
