LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL: Chick Corea/John McLaughlin/Kenny Garrett/Christian McBride/Vinnie Colaiuta

A spectacular finale to this year's LJF from this truly 'super' group that make their UK debut tonight. Corea and McLaughlin were both part of Miles Davis's epoch-defining Bitches Brew band, before going their separate ways with totemic fusion bands Return To Forever and The Mahavishnu Orchestra. Still on incredible form, both have been busy of late with multiple projects, yet this A-list band could trump them all as they extend Miles's dark funky fusion well into a new century.
