Popular and charismatic saxophonist Sheppard premiers his new rock-influenced project based on the life and work of Serge Gainsbourg. Avoiding any vocalised versions of Gainsbourg's less savoury moments, Sheppard unearths melodic gems from his back catalogue that are transformed by this fantastic Anglo-French band. Vietnamese guitar master Lê provides slippery solos and our fave drummer Rochford steps out of his post-jazz box to provide a crackling rhythmic attack. This could be the surprise hit of the festival.
