Son of Anthony 'Psycho' Perkins, Elvis' glimmering folk rock is subtle and affecting. Here backed by his adept multi-instrumentalist band playing from his second (eponymously-titled) LP (XL Records), which adds notes of upbeat, Buddy Holly-styled guitar pop to the sadness of songs from his accomplished 'Ash Wednesday' debut.
