Mighty Olympia trio The Gossip have well and truly entered the mainstream now, thanks mainly to their magnificent singles, but also to Beth Ditto's ubiquity. She's appeared everywhere in her supersized glory, whether naked in high-fashion mags, dispensing agony-aunt-styled advice in The Guardian or being papped hanging out with her high-profile pals. None of which detracts from the wham-bang, discco-punk power of their songs, of course. Appearing here in the second of three NME Calling nights.
