LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL: World Sanguine Report + TrioVD

Drawing on everything from Messian to Beefheart, Tom Waits and Mr Bungle WSR vocalist Andrew Plummer sets a disturbed tone. The talent-heavy band feature sax monster James Allsopp, trumpeter Alex Bonney and acclaimed pianist Matthew Bourne, all blurring musical boundaries in beautiful and brutal ways. Support from TVD, who launch their mind-melting debut LP, 'Fill It Up With Ghosts', packed full of epic and punky, math-rock riffage and scorching guitar/drums/sax work.
