Celebrated ECM-signed Polish trumpeter, whose distinctly European take on Chet Baker and Miles Davis is given a noir-ish twist by his new mainly-Norwegian electric band diving into obliquely filmic atmospherics. Support comes from fiesty young Irish band who perform their own brand of jaggedly melodic Euro jazz.
