Edgy and exciting jazztronica triple bill topped by Leeds-based trumpeter Alex Bonney's darkly disturbing four-piece Splice – also featuring fine tenorist/clarinetist Robin Finker – here launching their CD 'LAB'. Also appearing are Boards Of Canada/Buriel styled sax/keys-led quartet MA whose deep, mesmeric sound is the most convincing jazz-and-laptops hybrid we've heard in a long time. Maverick Tom Waits-ish singer Andrew Plummer kicks things off with his new SF power trio.
