Now this is big. D'Angelo has not been seen onstage for a very very long time, yet with little fanfare has announced a handful of European dates almost ten years since his last gig. After becoming the closest thing the '90s had to Marvin Gaye - thanks to sumptuous and smooth baby-making anthems like 'Brown Sugar' and 'Lady' - he slowly and quietly succumbed to the classic banana skins of stardom - notably drugs and allegedly trying to solicit an undercover cop. We can only guess what he'll be like after all this time away, but if he's on good form, this could well be a mighty gig.
