  • The Latin answer to Motown and just as prolific, the Fania label provided the soundtrack to 1970s NYC that was exploding out of basement jams and culminated in a legendary concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Recreating that energy tonight is Jewish American piano legend, educated and steeped in the Afro-Cuban music tradition, Harlow, who produced over 250 albums for Fania, and leads a hand-picked band tonight. Gilles Peterson raids his vaults to set the tone with some fine latin jazz sides.
