NYC's hip, Columbia University-educated quartet headline, blending off-centre, Shins-like pop with high-life, kwassa kwassa and juju to exuberant and sheerly celebratory effect, creating a style they've dubbed 'upper west-side Soweto' and here playing from their terrific, self-titled debut album. In support, Cleveland native Joe Williams as WW, who's toured with both Dan Deacon and Girl Talk and plays from terrific debut album, 'Smoke' (Double Six/Domino), a work of fizzy synth pop and electronica which nods at Eno/Fripp and T Rex, as well as Laptop, Beck, John Maus and Animal Collective.
