  • The Balkan Fever London Festival festival kicks off with a concert by Turkish clarinettist Sesler, who was born into a Roma family of musicians and still performs twice a week in Istanbul's music bars. Here the 'Coltrane of the clarinet' leads his group in the elaborate café music known as fasil, with support from Romanian Gypsy brass band Fanfare Vagabontu.
