Even before his memorable stint with the Small Faces, Hammond organist McLagan has always been a Jimmy Smith-loving jazzer at heart. His solo efforts have been a little disappointing but since relocating to the US some 20 years ago, he's done some sterling session work with the likes of Dylan, the Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen and the Georgia Satellites. Here he leads his jazz, soul and R&B outfit.
