Jazz rockish band who draw on Miles Davis' loping electro funk and Zappa's skewed harmonic aesthetic, with a dash of Soft Machine style psychedelic rock and a post bop flourish. Formed by ex-Wang Chung guitarist Jack Hues with a coterie of young gun jazzers including keyboardist Sam Bailey, superb bassist Tom Mason and phenomenal drummer Dave Smith they pull off these high wire genre hops with aplomb and boundless energy. They also launch their second LP 'Shattering' (Hellium Records) tonight.
